SEAHOG HUNTER Fast fisher/Day boat and 40HP Mariner ouboard engine package. I have owned this boat almost 5 years now and used it exclusively on Loch Lomond around 25 times, in many conditions. reason for selling- maybe get something smaller. Easily towed, with enough room for 5 folk. BOAT: This boat requires no work, ready to sail, had it out on the loch last Saturday with kids. Stable cathedral hull. A strong hull and fishing platform. No known hull repairs. Auxilliary engine mounting. Length - @14 feet, Paint job is not good and has been hand painted by previous owners, if your fussy it would need new paint job but does not affect it's perfomance. I have renovated inside the cuddy to make it nice enough. Windows watertight. Registered for loch lomond but would need re-registered in new owners name if for use in Loch lomond. TRAILER: Snipe, galvanised, with good winch. Bearings and tyres fine, though wheels are rusty. Side posts fitted to assist boat recovery. ENGINE: Reliable 40HP mariner, only used in fresh water by me, no corrosion evident. Pumps cooling water well, spare propeller also. Pull start so you need to be strongish! When engine cold and has not been used it takes maybe 20/30 pulls to get going, but once in use will start first time. I always have it running night before trip using hose and muffs for cooling. Gets boat up on plane quickly. 25 litre tank included. It had the following service in 2011- Water pump overhauled New gaskets (x3), Water pump base + seals; water pump plate, impeller and water pump housing. Gearbox: Gearbox stripped and cleaned. Fwd, Rev and Pinion gears examined for wear. Clutch examined for wear (all ok) Parts: New o-ring, lock washer and lock ring. (x2) gearbox plug washers. Gearbox pressure tested (10 p.s.i for 5 mins) New gearbox oil. New skeg replacement welded on. All gear functions checked when re-built Gearbox painted. Overall condition is good as new. BAD POINTS: Just poor paint job really, a new bump fender strip could be fitted as worn at the corners, viewing required as boats/cars always look better in pics than real life, and to see engine running. Two of the large side fenders included only.
